If you're willing to spend a little, you can ship it to an experienced painter. Plenty of good painters on the forum, myself NOT included!

I’m retired so I’m on a fixed income so I’m just going to have to try to make it as not ugly as I can possibly get.

I’m in the same boat as Brendan, but I’m looking to run modern electronics but by the traditional companies.

I know early Schumacher teams ran LRP, but what were they running for a motor?… Reedy?
Chuck Norris built my small block. It makes 10,000 horsepower and runs on the tears of little children. He calls it his street version.

For now I have a HW 1060 and an Apex 17T motor. All brushed for now.

As far as you having the worst painted Cougar, hold my beer!
Well if you’re a Wrestling Fan like I am you will understand this. Since I suck at painting and taping etc I decided to make my Cougar body look like Kanes mask.

Still have to work on the rear wing but it’s almost done.

Nice! You have a paint job that means something and ties back to another hobby/interest. :D

I am guided by Dirty Harry's comment "a man has got to know his limitations" when choosing my paint schemes. Of the 10 cars I painted myself, 7 are monochrome.

I really hope you enjoy running your Cougar. I jumped from Schumacher to Losi when I raced, so I never had a Cougar until the re-re. To me it is as good as anything else from the period. Also, Schumacher re-releases are very true to the originals. I like that.
