Apparently this is Masami's role at AE
I am fascinated by the wishful thinking from some people. First of all it was that Associated taking on Masami for product development somehow meant they could now make Masami bodied rereleases, which Schumacher managed without having to give him a job. Now it's been clarified by the TC8 boxart using Masamis paint, and confirmation he is there for on road product development of new models, we now see people excited about RC12L and RC10L rereleases.

Is there a market for the original RC10L rerelease?
I would be onboard for more 12 & 10 older style pan cars than the buggies. I would imagine I am in a small niche there though. But so many original parts are readily available, so really chassis plates would be the main attraction, and TBH, those can be made in the aftermarket. So yea, I would love to see AE break out a 12e/i/l or 10l, but probably not enough interest, and probably really no reason to do so. But new versions of old bodies would be great, and spare parts are great; would AE repop donuts????
That there above is a bunch of incoherent yapping. I honestly don't think AE is going to rere an old pan car.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

I'm not up on much with the on-road stuff. Is there a market for the original RC10L rerelease?
I would say there's virtually none, especially as those of us who collect vintage on road usually don't have much of a problem building them up. Kyosho have released four of their old 1/12ths, although most are the very different 4wd versions and they just look cool to people who haven't been into vintage on road. I don't think a 12E or 12L would get the same reaction from vintage collectors who usually collect buggies as the Kyoshos did. There is a thriving 1/12th vintage collector market in Japan, just try buying a vintage AYK or Mugen on road car in decent condition from there, and the Fantom gold edition was the only Kyosho 60th anniversary release that sold out quickly, but that doesn't mean there's much demand outside of those niche groups.
I'd be interested in 10L and 12L releases. I always struggled finding wheels/tires for the 2 hole hubs (paying through the nose). I never wanted to go down that 4 hole hub change abyss.
I'll buy wheels and tires from parted out kits. The cars are slick and fun too.
I just bought a couple sets of the Worlds bellcranks. Apparently, Associated copied the Fan RC version, as they now have the protrusions below the ball studs.
Associated.

Wasn't it like that on the 2014 rere Worlds car? Sure looks like it from the 2014 manual. I guess they copied themselves?

No. I have several sets of those, bought directly from Associated. They are flat on the bottom.
I actually prefer the flat ones. They can be mounted very low, especially on graphite cars.

AE came back out with it a few months ago. I'm not sure if any of the other recent kits came with it, but the BK kit has it in black.
I understand that. I just bought a few sets of the current white ones.
I had also bought several sets of Worlds bellcranks directly from AE, around 2016 or so. All of those were flat across the bottom, unlike the current ones.
At that time, I bought both plastics and kits. The kits had the green screws and off-color ball cups. So, they definitely weren't old stock.
