I'll look at the one that I have at home (it's the real deal and it's un-cut) and do the best visual comparison I can. The one thing that concerns me is the size of the side pod mounting hole..... it may be too large. I'lll check later and post when I get home.
I'll see when it arrives. This is what feedback is for. That, and if it's a repro and not listed as a repro, I'll definatley report the seller to ebay for selling fake goods and not listing them as such, and get a refund.
A couple years ago this happened with some vintage Hutch BMX stems and headlocks. This seller had a stockpile of somewhat rare parts, but it turned out they were all reproductions, but he wasn't listing them as repros. I'm sure it happens all the time.
Even if it a repo, it's still not a bad price. Figure bodies today are anywhere from $15.00 to $40.00 (the high side includes decals of course). People doing repos are doing no where near the volume that HPI, Parma, etc. are spitting out. If you can do a short runs of repos for that and still make a buck, then I think you are doing pretty well.
The last real JRX2 body I saw, that I can remember, went for something stupid, like $160.00. I can remember seeing two in the past few years.... they both went for over $100.
But I agree, don't try to sell something you don't have or pass it off as original.
I don't mind buying a repro Losi body. But, I'd like to know ahead of time if that's what I'm buying. If the seller doesn't state that, the seller is not honest and must be destroyed. Or at least called out.

Yeah, I know, but this way at least I have a chance at it, even if I have to pay more for it. A good friend of mine has my old JRX2's, I'm sure I can get them back for next to nothing, or maybe even nothing. The bodies are long gone because they were converted to oval racers, but the cars are nice, if I had a body I might be motivated to get them and build them up.

you werent the first to bid, unless you are using 2 seperate ebay id's.
i know people say he re-pulls other peoples bodies and such, but most people that do reproduction bodies and decals, unless pulled from the original mold are basically infringing on copyrights in one way or another... which i personally dont care...
Heres another body I made, based on a theme Im using on my other models. Its an original x2 body, but the back was cracked so it got trimmed down. I painted it red, and applied all the decal stripes and stickers to the outside shell. I have it...
I just put a set of RPM side bulkheads (the mount for the 5 link) and now the stock body doesn't fit. Before I cut the body to make it fit, has any one else had this problem?

The package for them didn't have a header, so it's probably the ones for the JRXT. Hmm, that's a pain, guess I am going ot have to find another set. The originals are nice to have, but always seemed a bit weak. Just found a set of originals on eBay,...

Here is some progress from my parts bin LS pan car. Some parts were missing and broken so I made my own. Others I ordered and slowly put it together.
Bumpers were used as templates for the new ones.

Judging by your pictures of your DS, would you say the stock bumper is about 1/4 thick? If so, I will need to source some 1/4 stock as the sheet I currently have is only 1/8 . You could use them as runners and keep your stock one for shelf duty. Let...
What is the deal with the best offer for Buy It Now auctions on ebay. I put in a best offer for something, and it was rejected immediately. There's no way the seller even saw my offer, it was like an auto response. Does that mean that someone put in...

Wow was that fun, rooster tails, power slides, all the things that hooked me on off road oh so many years ago. Even the traction lovers were grinning. :D
Cheers.
