this is the picture the girl sent me and the attached email:
Hi David,
It was brought to my attention that this body does not have the part number inscribed on the back. You can see part of what looks like USA on it. Before I ship this body, I want to make sure you still want it. I was told by the person that I bought these from that they were pulled off of the original mold. Please view the attached picture and let me know. I will hold off from invoicing you until I hear from you first.
Thank you,
Heather
I'm pretty sure the original one came with ref. number or something on the rear... waiting for mr.lexan to post his

So what does everyone think of these bodies then? Is everyone going to avoid them because they could be repros? Has anyone spotted other differences apart from the missing part numbers?
Wouldn't you know it, when I am trying to find something, I can't. I don't know where I put my body (a sign I have too much junk). Sorry guys. I am going for it. Like Melvin said, if it is from the original mold as a "re-release", who really cares. Even if it is not or if it from a repo mold, $35 is not that bad at all.
Anyone fancy some JRX2 repos decals? That I can do myself.

Sign me up for a set, if they're just like the originals.
If it is a repro body pulled from the original mold, I don't mind either. I have an original, cut, unpainted body that I can compare this one to. I was gonna use it, but it's got some scuffs.

you werent the first to bid, unless you are using 2 seperate ebay id's.
are you using 2 seperate ebay id's?
Nope, I only have one ebay account. Not sure how that happened, the other guy must have bid right before me.
Yup prolly a B2/B3 body. Oh, BTW the man himself Andy Jacobson is still around! He's painting a 6130 team truck body for me as we speak. Great guy! He's works at pegasus hobbies now in Montclair, CA and still paints bodies on the side. Check their site for a number http://pegasushobbies.com/ I dunno maybe you could ship a fresh body out if they'll take it. If you are in Cali, definitely check the place out. Andy is usually there on weekdays.
Yeah, sorry for straying from the jrx2 body topic. I know that as a business, "Andy's" is already gone and he has no more old stock of anything around (just shoots the paint now). Good question, if he still has injection molds that would be awesome. I'll check it out.
i know people say he re-pulls other peoples bodies and such, but most people that do reproduction bodies and decals, unless pulled from the original mold are basically infringing on copyrights in one way or another... which i personally dont care...
Heres another body I made, based on a theme Im using on my other models. Its an original x2 body, but the back was cracked so it got trimmed down. I painted it red, and applied all the decal stripes and stickers to the outside shell. I have it...
I just put a set of RPM side bulkheads (the mount for the 5 link) and now the stock body doesn't fit. Before I cut the body to make it fit, has any one else had this problem?

The package for them didn't have a header, so it's probably the ones for the JRXT. Hmm, that's a pain, guess I am going ot have to find another set. The originals are nice to have, but always seemed a bit weak. Just found a set of originals on eBay,...

Here is some progress from my parts bin LS pan car. Some parts were missing and broken so I made my own. Others I ordered and slowly put it together.
Bumpers were used as templates for the new ones.

Judging by your pictures of your DS, would you say the stock bumper is about 1/4 thick? If so, I will need to source some 1/4 stock as the sheet I currently have is only 1/8 . You could use them as runners and keep your stock one for shelf duty. Let...
What is the deal with the best offer for Buy It Now auctions on ebay. I put in a best offer for something, and it was rejected immediately. There's no way the seller even saw my offer, it was like an auto response. Does that mean that someone put in...

Wow was that fun, rooster tails, power slides, all the things that hooked me on off road oh so many years ago. Even the traction lovers were grinning. :D
Cheers.
