Talk me out of buying a Hot Shot
So can you guys talk me out of buying a Tamiya Hot Shot. I really shouldn't get it but have wanted one for a while and there's one calling my name.
Cheers

Re: Talk me out of buying a Hot Shot
Hotshot was my 1st buggy in 1985. I'm the wrong person to stop you-- on the contrary, I will egg you on.
Are you looking at a used one? Re-release?

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

It's used, with parts of the Hot trick kit and an original not a re-release....

The fact that you have even posted here, actually means you want to be talked into it, not out of it. You should have known that.Dr. Robotnik wrote:So can you guys talk me out of buying a Tamiya Hot Shot. I really shouldn't get it but have wanted one for a while and there's one calling my name.

Man are you guys unhelpful...

I think I could make a nice runner out of it...
If I do get it, I really need to pull my finger out and shift my other stuff...

A cool little buggy like that? It's worth whatever it takes to make it yours!

Re: Talk me out of buying a Hot Shot
I sold mine years ago. Sometimes, I regret selling it...but I had no emotional ties to the car and I knew that prior to building it that it would be up for auction. Plus, I know that the car went to a good home...I sold it to Oliver.
However, I've always wanted a supershot. It's always been in my top 2 cars to have and I was able to build with all new parts...prior to the re-release.
Regards,
highwayracer

Re: Talk me out of buying a Hot Shot
it looks from hwyracers post that the one you are looking at is missing the chassis braces. i can see that shaft binding and possibly bending without them.
