VINTAGE KYOSHO!!!!!!!HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!
VINTAGE KYOSHO!!!!!!!HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!
I found these 2 chassis , that I owned when I was younger. the first one is a a Kyosho " Salute " ... I'm not too sure about the second one though...
it's a kyosho " Pajero " ( Nitro ) . I have never acctually driven the car. just started it ones back then. I'm missing a tire witch I couldn't find .
No bodyseems to knowk what modle this is . it's a big mistery to me

Your pajero looks a little bit strange because of how the wheels are put on the truck. Traditionally, the hex portion is placed on the axle before the wheel. The wheel and tire combo look like they are from a Kyosho rocky.
The pictures that I've seen of the pajero usually have the same wheels that are used on the turbo optima (white with the 8 holes).
Overall a very nice truck. It looks like it will clean up well and would be a nice addition to the shelf.

I found one of my older tower catalogs and it calls it a Kyosho Montero...they always change names beween US and japan releases. It's considered a 1/12the scale ans it did have the turbo optima wheels on it.

The montero is rare in the sense that you don't see them very often. But the same thing can be said for a panda stadium truck. If someone wants it, then it may bring in quite a few $$$.
The salute is basically the same as the turbo optima....different body and the optima came with the lemans 240s motor. There are a lot of optimas out there...in it's present condition, you'll probably get around $60-$80 depending on the market. There a guy that selling reproduction salute bodies incase you wanted to restore it.
What makes the items more valuable is that those were 2 cars that you owned when you were younger...sentimental value can sometimes lead us to spend a little bit more. So if there's someone out there that's been looking for a montero then that may lead to more $$$.
I personally am after all of the cars that I lusted after but couldn't afford when I was younger. Unfortunately, the list grows longer each day but it seems that there are never enough funds to make the dream come true.
Regards,
Roger

wow, I can't say I've ever noticed those odd wheels before, but to be honest never paid a real lot of attention to GasPowered cars
Are you from canada? I couldn't help noticing the french-english combo on the scanned catalog pages
