Re: ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS?
The transmission looks ultima-ish to me. Didn't kyosho have a series of scale appearing on-road cars that had a molded ultima based chassis? The front wheels make me think it is one of those.

Re: ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS?
Yes,it's running an Ultima transmission and suspension arms.
I think it might be a Corvette touring car they released?
The front wheels are OG & have Kyosho stamped on 'em,as well as the tires.

i think that's the same chassis that kyosho used for the 911, f-40, and zr-1 kits. there might be another one i'm forgetting.

Re: ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS?
the rs500 looks more like a raider based car to me.
opel calibra also fits in this line of cars based on the ultima: that one even came with the front tires shown. There are some variations between the models listed: like plastic or alu shocktowers depending on their price orientation.
The golf may even have a shorter wheelbase if I remember well.
In general I consider these as great donors for ultima buggy runners

Re: ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS?
hello All,
I can only speak for the US release because I think kyosho used different components for japan and europe.
300zx, 911, f-40, testarossa, corvette - These chassis were based on the ultima 2 chassis. The chassis was a double deck kelron (composite plastic). I've also seen an aluninum chassis with saddle pack slots in some of the ROW releases.
The chassis pictures appears to be Outrage based. It uses the same components as the ultima series with the exception of the chassis, shocks, front brace and radio plate. This was a "plastic" chassis. So, this could either be an outrage that was converted or the same type of series as the golf pictured.
As for the mercur / sierra, this chassis was raider based.
Regards,
highwayracer

Re: ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS?
and to add to the general confusion: kyosho also did 4wd's based on the lazer alfa and before that based on the optima mid ( I have a magazine with one of those ferraris for sure)
