I could use a shock rebuild kit ASC 6440
I could also use 2 gold shock caps, or 2 black shock caps or a set of 4 black plastic shock caps just so the shocks look a little better.

Do you want the black capped or gold capped ? Also are you set on the slipper set up ?

Here’s today’s progress. I hope no one is offended by the sacrilege of the Tamiya speed control!
Its brand new though. The Futaba I had was a forward only style and I figured the kid would need reverse.
Next I’ll be cleaning up the shocks and cleaning up the wheels and tires.

I got a bunch of stuff done on this project today. The front shocks were decent with clean oil inside when I opened them up. I rebuilt the rears and installed the shocks.
I also glued the rear tires, got them all mounted up. This car is looking pretty sweet! .
Then I went out and took it for a quick rip in front of my shop...it works great! All I need now is the body, wingwire and buttons, and add the wing I have and she’ll be ready to go!
I then cleaned up the motor, wired it up, and dialed it in. I also glued the rear tires, got them all mounted up. This car is looking pretty sweet! .

WOW!! I just discovered this thread. I wish there would be more of this on the internet and a little less negativism. Looks like all is set now. I hope the kid is going to become a RC10Talk fan! I'd like to know how he like the car.
I'd be happy to contribute a couple bucks toward shipping.

I'd say it's a contender for build of the month, if not 2018 build of the year!
