Re: RC10B2 RUNNER BUILD
Thanks. I can't wait to run the short version. It should be very interesting to drive. I just need to paint the body, program the ESC and radio and I will be off to the track.
I am a little worried about the very light front end on my B2. I know I can add some lead to the under side of the bulk head but I dont know if it will be enough.

Re: RC10B2 RUNNER BUILD
I remember back in the day I would put up to 3.5 oz's of lead weight in the front of my B3 for better turn in and to keep the front down. I usually put it just in front of the servo on either side.
Your buggy is looking great!
Here's my B3 runner I'm trying to finish up:

Re: RC10B2 RUNNER BUILD
Love the battery cut outs in the chassis, they make a big difference. I was thinking of doing that to one of my cars, but with the new lipo's taking over, what's the point now?
Very nice car BTW!

Re: RC10B2 RUNNER BUILD
All my old SMC 4200 packs are going south. I had 12 and now only able to save 5 after getting rid of all the bad cells. I wont be going back to std cells.Daddeo wrote:True about the cutouts but this buggy is from back in the dayso that's why.
Thanks!
The funny thing is I have old 1200scr's and 1400scr's that still work as well as they did new!

I only need to paint a body now, it's all trimmed, I was hoping to paint it today but was busy playing PS3 COD 5 on line

Re: RC10B2 RUNNER BUILD
This thread is very useful for me and the pictures really helps alot since I have a (what I thought) B3, but it appears to be a B2 that has been upgraded to a B3.
Great pictures and a great looking car, thx for posting

Re: RC10B2 RUNNER BUILD
I was at the basher track yesterday and a 1/1 drag racer that runs a Savage plowed into my B2 and busted my new and ONLY carbon fiber front tower!
Stupid drag racer has no concept of a racing line!
Only knows how to punch it in a straight line!
I will show pics later, I have to upload them to photobucket!

Carbon fiber?? More than one?? If so, that would be sweet, I would take two. You da Man!

Asso_man was kind enough to give me a link to one on eBay!

I love my B2, just rebuilt the 19 turn and put the tower on. Good to go for tonight! While my son is doing MX, I will sneak over to the RC track!

Re: RC10B2 RUNNER BUILD
I've still got one of each of the b-2 front towers if you still need them. I think the LHS has more of both on the wall, but I will be unable to check before the weekend.

Re: RC10B2 RUNNER BUILD
Thanks guys for the offers but I think I will get some from the famous Mr Reggie Hammer as he found some other items (again) that I need! It will save me on shipping from one location. I owe this man many beers, he is a treasure to RC10talk!
Anthony (Vintage AE).... You can piss off!
LOL jk! As you can tell, you are not the only one to bust carbon fiber!
(Just to let the guys know, Anthony busted the carbon side plate on my crawler, I'm not mad and it's all good but now I get to tease him for the rest of his life!
)
Some pics of my new painted body on the short RC10B2.

Re: RC10B2 RUNNER BUILD
Them's my colours! Many people just pull over when the see it coming! Sorta like good old # 3!
Those are used wheels that I baked the old rubber off in the oven! I put some new Losi rubber on. Wheels still look good for the second use eh?
I ran this thing tonight, man I love how this car feels on the track, just so dialed!
