I think you're bang on. That's exactly what I've noticed. Fortunately I have a bunch of the correct set screws already, but I'm having Duratrax Support send me 4 new correct ones, all the same. I'm certainly not about to pay for set screws that should've been the correct ones in the first place.

Here's a topic I haven't really seen discussed...I picked up some JPS front wheels that closely match a nice set of rears that are meant for old-style Kyosho taper-fit axles. The wheels are machined to accept bearings. Now here's the weird-ass...

Just set screws in general, for the RC10 buggy, like the ones holding in the shock pins, or the ones on the linkage collars. I know it's a noob question, I just have no idea where to look.

what size hex are mip set screws? i got a new t4 cvd set for my 10t but i don't think any of my tools fit, sae or metric.

i found it really odd.

if the .050 won't go in, it's possible there is crud in the hex of the set screw. check it out carefully, that's good, it means it's a tight tolerance, and you might just have to force it in there. at least the hex is too small vs. too open and...

I've been looking at tower, but cannot seem to find set screws that match the originals for the front a-arms. I'm measuring the length as 5/16 long with a .050 allen head. Most everything on tower is metric. Does anyone know if there is...

Don't recall seeing screws that look like this before, the heads look like a cap screw mated with a flat head, but slotted, no hex. I picked these up at the lhs...

So, I fitted a #6801 front axle conversion kit, including securing the axles to the hinge pins with the provided set screws, then found one of the axles was out of spec and wouldn't accept the wheel bearings.

I have a replacement axle but, coming...

Well the JB Weld didn't work.

Whatever is holding that screw in certainly has a grip on it.

I'll have to continue with alternative parts and revisit this screw at a later date when I have the equipment to try drilling it out.
