If you have to ask, you wouldn't understand. You as a car guy should know that.
I am a car guy I build real cars everyday. but I wouldnt wast my time like that. I understand and admire the work that went into that build he did a great job, but I just feel it would be time better spent to start with a better car.

nothing like making the underdog perform better. i myself am in the process of making an ''old is new'' rc10 to play with the b4s. i know the rc10 is a much higher quality racing machine than the frog, but arguably not the best platform to make competitive. part of the fun for me has always been putting my own individual touches into my projects, and trying to improve them :D i have probably sunk 80-100 hours wrenching and modifying my grasshopper. only because it was my only real hobby rc, if you can call it that, at the time. we work with what we have, and its fun

Thats just the thing. What fun is it starting with a better car? Especially since its already been done to death. That defeats the whole point. Putting all the time, money, and engineering (ingenuity?) into a better car is not very original.

This translates over to the 1:1 car world. It's the difference between another modified Camaro or Mustang and A guy that takes something like a Chevette and modifies it to run in the 9's. Now that is something unique and extra cool!

I suppose I have an easier time accepting it due to having a similar mindset.
