Do the research on what you have . Build the cars you like and sell the rest off and take your ex brother in law out to dinner.

I plan on enjoying the build, and using what I may have extra to help someone else in there endeavor, or as possible leverage to get parts that I need for my project. My brother-in-law will definitely get dinner, maybe even a RC car for his 4 year old son to hold onto.

Wow. I need to wipe the drool off my chin. Are you interested in selling anything? Like those chrome wheels?

I can believe you got it for free, crazy.

Wished I had a brother in law like that....
Remember it's either a runner or a shelfer. Everything else is just parts.

Thanks RedScampi, definitely glad to be here.

I want to welcome you to the board here goatless ( everytime I read that name). You will find this board to be your best RC10 spot on the net hands down with all the info and great guys we have around here. You have been blessed from somewhere or you sold your soul...either way you got one helluva project there. Look forward to seeing some of your builds. Good to remain friends with ex's whenever possible is my new thought process  .

I would also like to take the time to emphasize that this isn't the place to buy or sell. I'm sure in due time goatless will get b/s/t access and do alot of business...in there.

I myself look forward to it 8)

Not directed at anyone and Thanx for everyone's co-operation with this.

Absolutely amazing pile of goodies, I'd be in heaven.

Brings to mind an experience I had years ago when I was about 11 or 12. A friend and I found a note on the local store bulletin board for some free model car kits/parts. Of course we grabbed the whole note so no one else would see it. Made a phone call , we were the first ones to call and had my dad drive us over. Turns out it was a guy about 20 years old that was cleaning out his stuff and giving it all away. He gave us about a dozen large boxes of model cars, some built ,most NIB. We were in heaven. He then took us out to his garage and showed us why he was giving his model cars away, he was now building a full size 32 Ford hot rod.

A couple of months later we were at the big car show in downtown New York City and what did I see on display but his car. All of this was way beyond cool for a bunch of impressionable young boys.

I never forgot this and a number of years later when I was moving from the East to West Coast after college I gave away my entire model collection to a kid down the street and made his day also :)

Now my RC cars, I'm keeping those

 Like my first 1:1 car, a 72' Nova, I too wish I had kept all of my RC cars thru the years. I'm positive I have pics somewhere, I'll have to hunt them down. Great story DougH! Very admirable thing you did, and that kid will remember it for LIFE!!
