Are you sure that the #6273 long ball joints are stainless steel?

The studs are non magnetic, the nuts however are steel!

Fascinating... I just went and tested this for myself. There seem to be three variations of the same long ball joint.

- round ball, magnetic
- round ball, non-magnetic
- flat-end ball, non-magnetic

I wasn't aware of the difference in the first two. The "round ball, magnetic" pieces are clearly the original ball joints from early RC10s. The "round ball, non-magnetic" pieces must have come later, but I wonder when Associated switched materials. The "flat-end ball, non-magnetic" are obviously the newest ball joints.

So... How many of you have restored your Edinger and early Cadillac RC10s incorrectly? :lol:
