I though they were a little flashier than I remember..
I have no idea why anyone would upgrade to aftermarket dogbones on a brand new car, but not throw out the mechanical speed control...(?)..but I'm pretty stoked anyway.

As far as I can tell, it's completely box-fresh other than that.

T and A machine made titanium dogbones as well.

So far it seems mostly complete; less a body/wing, battery straps, one counter sunk screw (for the antenna base) and a set of manuals.

I found a mint battery strap in my collection & I'm sure I have a matching screw around here somewhere. I may check the scan section and possibly print a copy of the assembly manual.

Thankfully, 98 percent of the car was already put together (very well) prior to me adapting it.

The only thing I'm not thrilled with is the Fred Flintstone era mechanical speed control and it's nightmare looking nest of wire...(I know it's original, but it's bleccch looking...)

I installed the nose tubes last night, the sway bar still needs to be assembled,

It looks like finding a NOS body shouldn't be an issue.

I may just leave the body clear for display...

yes they did. race prep bones are easily picked out do to the roll pins and nylon/delrin caps on the ends.

That plug is an odd one (to me anyway).

I've had Tamiya, Traxxas, Deans, & Sermos ends, but have never seen this style.

I was a Kyosho (Turbo Ultima) guy back in the day, and didn't actually get into the Associated stuff until the 90's, (my truck converted RC10 had Sermos) so this set up might be a little foreign to me.
