This has got to be one of the best forums out there! Especially considering how connected it is to those manufacturers and individuals who were around back in the day who have inspired our crazy addiction to this hobby.
Back in 2007 when I joined this site I recall visiting Associated in Lake Forest and pondering the possibility of re-release with Don, while trying to purchase parts. The possibility wasn't even remote as he indicated molds had rusted and were destroyed along with manufacturing processes being different.
Now knowing this site had a little to do with Associated re-releasing the RC10 makes the experience over the last 7 years AMAZING!
Thank you RC10Talk and those who created it.
BTW, is there a back-story on the forums creation and those involved?
Looking back on it that first page of that thread is pretty funny. I mean c'mon guys didn't think 10talk would do well? I haven't been on clod talk in over a year but I visit here daily if not post daily. The rc10 has the clod beat in what it's done for Rc.
I'm not trying to inflate anyone's ego when I said this is the best Rc site ever.
Where else can we find such honest, time tested Methods? I trust the minds here more then any other forum.
That's why I'm glad we can talk modern associated and other brands here. (Even though some members could care less)
Some of our members are so XXX XXXX talented, they don't even know it. (Some do lol)
Anyway, I'm just happy every time I log on.
Kudos to bill, Hagar, Scott any anyone else who decided to put this website together!
Man, eight years. As others have said, there is no better source for information about these great models. The people here have the greatest knowledge, best attitude and most patience I have seen anywhere else on the web. And what a wonderful place to waste time!
