What are your plans for building it? Will you build it stock or swap in a few hop ups?
I am going to TRY and keep it box stock - no Trinity upgrades, I promise. Even though I have a nice Trinity blue flake front tower spare - maybe this was meant to be!? Hahahaaa

I agree Dan, lets hope they take notice of whats happening with the RC10. I know Rich Trujilo (spelling?) has mentioned the vintage stuff to them before.
Ok here so here are some pics of the bags from the kit, I haven't included the body/wing as they are clear and don't photograph too well.
Anyway:
Bag A: Front suspension, glad to see a black bulkhead in here!
Bag B: Steering assembly, ball-races and titanium turnbuckles in here.
Bag C: Rear suspension with MIP driveshafts, graphite tower and wishbones but not pivot plate, interestingly. I might need to add one I think, the exploded view lists it as graphite.
Bag D: Gearbox with ally layshaft & gear and the iconic blue motor plate. Dual disk slipper too, complete with blue nut!
Bag D: Better view of the blue motor plate!
Bag E: Shocks with nitrided shafts, blue springs, even though the rears are 'pink' and more blue nuts!
Bag F: Wheels and X-2000 rear tyres, ribs up front, and even more blue nuts!!!!
Bag G: Erm.....blue wing buttons!!!

I really want to build it, but I need to finish my XX4 first, which is very close to being done
I want to do it box-art, but the stickers are more of a bright green than fluo-yellow, so it might look a little weird, I don't have much choice though.

Me too...I never look forward to the body trimming & painting...but when it's done, and you've removed all the mask to see that gloriously-painted body beneath, it's all worth it in the end.

This is true, its funny because I LOVE putting the stickers on, which should be motivation enough!
Now off to find my camera and tripod to see if I can get some better pics, stay tuned.
I know you're only doing what I would do had I been in the right place at the right time....... seriously though, I'm glad it ended with a hard-core Losi fan who also happens to be a member of this forum.
Think about it though.....if the seller had known what it could have sold for, he probably wouldn't have listed it with such a low BIN price. I mean, what are the chances.....? And I wonder how many more there are out there yet to surface???

I had major reservations on the painting of my Boxart Kinwald as at that time the bodys could be had, but not as much as now with TBG. The stickers look the same as the ones I have and found the yellow I used to match pretty good.

I just picked up a XXX BK1 runner on ebay. It definitely has a different transmission than my XXXT graphite. The A arms are surprisingly different as well; it is much narrower than the XXXT.
Haven't had time to look into it too much but I'll post...
Before starting my XX 1997 World Champ Brian Kinwald replica car, I need to train my mind on the Losi products, and especially on the XX after too many RC10 projects.

Yes they did. The spur is slightly different to the hydra drive one - it accepts a pad on either side of it. The disk plates are the same...
