That's a narrow body, probably isn't going to work unless you modify or swap the rear shock tower. The shock tower swap is not that big of a deal, but handling does suffer a little bit.

I don't have the part number right now, but this is the one you need, the original one from the first gen GT. I can get the part number when i get home if you want. Or you can just trim down the one you have, it already has the holes for the shock mounts drilled in it anyway.

You probably wont know which body will fit till you get the truck. I just measured an early tub truck and a later longer FT flat chassis truck. I think the early first release flat chassis RTR trucks are on the shorter dimensions (I can't confirm 100% as I don't have one) while the RTR Plus was based on the longer FT style chassis.

I think your truck may be a longer RTR plus due to the plastic nose tube mounts, the early flat chassis RTR's had smaller metal nose tube mounts. These mounts aren't interchangable if I remember correctly.

Early short trucks are around an 11" wheelbase.
Later long trucks are around an 11 1/4" wheelbase.

If you have a short chassis any of these bodies will fit if you replace the rear shock tower with a narrow #7655 tower, or cut the ears off the the wide tower. The narrow tower was never offered in black fiberglass however if you want to upgrade it Fiber-lyte makes a narrow carbon tower. Also note if you cut the ears off a wide tower the shock mounting locations will be a bit lower.

If you have a short truck with narrow or wide rear tower this body will fit without any modifications.

If you have the longer chassis you'll need one of these. Or as justin said if you can find a Proline Crowd Pleazer or Silverado.

That will fit a longer truck fine, good choice. It's the same body that came with the FT versions, a Proline F-150 copy.

You are correct about the rtr being tub chassis length, and the plus being factory team length. The length difference on all of the bodies is negligible, though. The factory team F150 was actually a "short" body originally designed for the tub chassis.
