Jay, please add them to what I bought from you last week, and please tell me how much I owe you. Just add shipping if you already did send the parts...

Wife sent them yesterday, so missed that opportunity.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Re: - Stars and stripes Project -
I did some progress this weekend: I mounted polished wing tubes, dogbones, steering knuckles, gold shocks with red collars and spring retainers and some other bits and bobs. I'm planning on using a Kamtec lexan Rough Rider repro body, what do you guys think? I still haven't seen any car here with that body, though it was quite popular back in the day...
I'll post some pics tomorrow, stay tuned...

I think it'll be to short, but you might be able to cut it somehow to fit well I don't know.Asso_man! wrote:Kamtec lexan Rough Rider repro body

Re: - Stars and stripes Project -
I tried to quickly fit the Tamiya wheels on it yesterday, even with dremeling the rear wheels, it won't work out because the wheel would bind on the rear arms. Also the Associated axles have a slightly shorter OD, and the wheels just float on them... Anyway, I am not satisfied with the general look of the car with Tamiya wheels, so I'll defo install white Associated dish wheels with some pretty cool tires, pictures soon...

Re: - Stars and stripes Project -
Did some homework yesterday, it's still a mock-up, so don't get picky on the details! Added Losi Performance steering bellcranks that were a bit hacked, but I restored them the best I could (especially the left one), RPM black gear cover (thanks Asa, I'll leave feedback here and on Epay soon), Trinity mini-spike rear tires with 2,175 rims and Pro-Line spiked front tires (I dig those). I eventually tossed-in some old Novak electronics (NER 2-S receiver and a NESC-4 speedo, both still working) for the look of it. It now only misses a nice body (still haven't made my mind on the model), some e-clips and hardware here and there. Hope you guys like it.

That turned out nice!
It almost seems worth looking into anodizing the nose and motorplates blue.

That would be cool indeed, problem is hat I have no access to that kind of device... I also thought about tossing a lightened motorplatetempleofspeed wrote:That turned out nice!

It looks super cool. Do you know the material on the JG front bumper? Did it come in red or is it dyed?
Excellent built, very original.

Thanks for your comments mate, they are scarce these days, maybe people get bored of my (too many) builds (just like the wifem_vice wrote:It looks super cool. Do you know the material on the JG front bumper? Did it come in red or is it dyed?

Re: - Stars and stripes Project -
Tossed a Hot Bodies shell on it yesterday, not period correct, but as I won't probably get another one soon, I just wanted to present it to you like if it was finished

If you do decide to use the Tamiya wheels, HPI makes a set of adapters that work. I used to have a set on one of my other '10 projects at one time.

Re: - Stars and stripes Project -
I have a set of HPI adapters for the front wheels, but do they make a set of adapters for the rears too?

Re: - Stars and stripes Project -
Yeah they make an adapter set for the rear. I'll have to double check the part number when I go into work later.

be sure to remember to put nuts on the front upper shock mounts before you run it.
