I'd have that receiver plate mounted with at least 2 attachment points. With just one, with an offroad buggy, it's guaranteed to start swivelling once that single mounting screw loosens up a bit. Maybe a little square of servo tape underneath would also prevent this. The wing setup doesn't look optimal to me. Maybe it's the perspective of the camera, but it seems to be hanging too low at the trailing edge which won't be ideal for airflow or downforce. The addition of the side plates only seems to give the illusion that the wing is horizontal.
I'm digging all the rest of your work though, loving the polishing and fabrication skills!

You really do amazing work! Why did you put the O-ring under the receiver plate? Is it just to keep the plate off the chassis to prevent scuffs?
Many thanx!
Exactly, even this chassis will never run or just for exhibit and i love the looking of this space between receiver plate and chassis

This chassis will never run or just a bit. You are right about the servo tape if it have to race The wing position is just to have a kind of good looking.
I will ask to Manobet to design a nice aluminium wing mount, and in this position, i will can show that Manobet's piece of art

Hope those side pods add enough stiffness, flat piece of aluminium with battery holes in it isn't going to take much abuse before bending..
Also can see the front shock tower snapping off at the brace top screw, looks way too thin there!
I have scanned an insert that came with the Hot Bodies lexan bodies in the middle to late 90's. In with the buggy bodies is one of my favorites #10302 the Stealth Fighter which as yet I have not been able to find an example but someday will score....

Stealth Fighter was my race body back in the day, the tight fit makes it really nice when using velcro to mount the body. Plus no dirt gets inside the tub. I would definately buy one if someone reproed these... hint hint mrlexan  :D
Anyone has experience with HPI D413? Sounds like a very good buggy.

i shelved my 44.2, want to grab this car next. seams to always be the winning or only 4wd at my local track. just parts seam to be hard to come by in most shops.
I've searched and couldn't find a good answer so I hope this hasn't been talked about before but I have two young boys (4 and 2) and they both love to come out in the shop and help me work on my cars. I have never let them drive any as I hardly ever...

Your gearing is wrong, you want less teeth to the pinion not more. Try a 10 tooth pinion on the 6 gear tranny, if it's still to hot go to a 9t.
