I built this up to run in the pipe frame class at the Vintage Festival @ Castle Hill in Australia.

Pipe frame is for silver stock motors. So a full rebuild was done with new internal gears and a belt drive conversion. Hard Final pinion was thrown...

eBay has good selection of these vintage parts for the Stadium Blitzer/thunder, Blitzer Beetle. Own original Blitzer myself bought back in 1993 and still in great running shape thanks to EBay.

New member here, not only new to RC10talk but also to the RC10 all together. I am a Scale Crawler at heart but an RC LOVER all around. I never got into buggies until I went on the lookout for a Tamiya SandScorcher and stumbled across an RC10...

It's a team edition with ball race steering & a slipper.

Hi Guys,
I have 3 motors to choose from to put in a frankenstein vintage runner:

1. tamiya rs-540sh (screw holes line up, pinion meshes, don't see why it wouldn't work)
2. Trinity monster horsepower , red end on it, also says 1985 world champions...

The turn limit for the ESC is 23 turns, so that motors is within the limits but it's probably right at the limit of a motor that you'd want to use. It would be considerably hotter than any of the closed-endbell motors I listed above. I like those...
