I can definately hook you up with a "not-quite-straight" nose tubes. Right now they have the naturally bent look to them, but if you want I could do some "Upgrades" to them, just let me know.

The only thing about taking that sweet chariot to the nats is youve got to get some super secret looking high tech carring bag for it, then with a straight face act like your unveiling the cure for cancer!!!

It seems that our boy racer has been making some progress, today a new power system arrived at the track for testing. Forget the turbo35gfx and tekin 112's this puppy is charged with a top secret military spec charger using such sophisticated nano-technology that it can easily be disguised as a common wall-wart.
For transport we have a classic fluorescent yellow race case. Signal transmission is accomplished with a trusty futaba attack. a fancy computer radio is not needed for such an experienced driver and capable car. epa, atv, abs, and exponential rates are all crutches for the weak
hopefully I can get a few more shots in the next week.

I have a basically new old stock Tamiya RC carrying bag. Would be better if it was AE in this particular case though.

Sidetrack: Anyone ever seen one? I have never seen one before and have been having a hard time trying to figure out what it's worth. Came with a NIB 959 I bought ages ago on ebay.
-Patrick
Cars I collect... 959's, The Fox and Schumacher 2wd buggies. All the stuff I grew up with!

now that is one precisely-tuned and meticulously built machine. a lot of forethought put into that beauty, down to the painstaking dirt placement for flawless weight distribution.

...and I'm sure that on/off throttle configuration will give him the unfair advantage... ;)

Some more updates, the car is fully ready to run and has been tested at an underground test center. Note the antenna mounted just above the motor and nicely coiled to keep the wires all tidy, . Velcro down the sides attaches the body.

The tires are a semi-exotic rubber compound, specially aged and imported from Volumiza racing service in the UK(as were the front wheels).

The rear wheels and knock-offs the were donated to the project by Templeofspeed. Note the super light zip-ties instead of "heavy" stock spring clamps on the rear shocks.

We were forced to conclude the photo-shoot abruptly once the completed body made it's way onto the chassis, only able to get this close-up. This ain't no protech or viper :?: We'll see you all in September. . .

I can't believe you are running as you received it! Definitely my vote for the most unique.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

This is a tribute to all the backyard bashers out there who never took the 10 to a track. I'm sure they outnumber the true racers by a fair bit.
If you like it so far, wait until you see the whole body. It could be right out of the rcca readers pit-tips section. I've said enough. . .
