Jrx2 prototype???

Gary Kyes's son was a buddy of mine back in HS. I have been trying to locate him locally.... I found online that Kyes is still active in the RC world.

Since all the Losi experts are here, does anyone know answer to rumor that there were in late 80's, that there is or was an full aluminium prototype of jrx2 that was hand made by Gil Losi Jr? The prototype was used to see how the car parts worked together before molds were made. Probably a small test drive was also made. This might be the only place where I can find an answer to this rumor. If the rumor is true, does anybody have an picture or other information about this car?

Probably what you're thinking about is that prior to Losi coming out with the JRX2 Gil and his father had a RC10 that I remember seeing pictures of in which they worked on as a mule for some of the original JRX2 prototype pieces and parts.

well, the pic of mike dunn's losi can shut some people up about how associated's 89 worlds win shouldn't count because they used a prototype car. the losi cars (atleast that one) weren't box stock.

I can only assume this comment is directed at me, since I've brought it up multiple times. Associated's wins in 89 and 91 should both count as victories for Team Associated, they won those races. But, if you think the cars that won those races were RC10's, well you're free to think that.
