WOW! I have never been a fan of The Hot Trick Stuff, but this car has to be one of the nicest vintage rides I have ever seen. VERY NICE WORK, Emerson!
Thanks Justin!
Actually, we just done the re-design for the lexan body, decal & front bumper. The buggy looks perfect now. All of these will be released in mid Jan,2010.
Too early to know 'bormac', too late to know 'mrlexan', just in time to know 'murphy3428'. http://www.rc-lohas.com
Don't take this the wrong way but to me that body makes the vintage Hotshot look a little too modern. It kind of looks like a modernized Grasshopper body with a Hornet wing.
Also are you planning on cloning any other of the Hot Trick kits or producing other rims?

Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks for the comment. Actually we are still following the old design for the body. And the painting is just for example, you can still paint it in any style you like.
We will soon release Red Ultima(Base on RB5) & Red Frog conversion kits.

rb5 ? lovely: smart not to stick with vintage models only. Maybe you can make the parts compatible with the much cheaper almost clones of Ansman, Kawada and (oops forgot the name again).
Another product idea: 2.2 front wheels that match your rears for the 4mm axle of the old ultima ...
I would settle for the old hot trick axles that let you mount tamiya wheels too; if you make the frog front wheels 2.2
OK, so I've heard of the MIP 4WD version-- but does anyone have info on this thing? I have been kicking it around my parts bin for years. As far as I can tell, it replaces the gold pan's front plate. It looks like the larger holes are for bearings...

I never understood the hoopla with Hot trick stuff. many of the parts were inferior to the stock parts back in the day and it makes them really inferior now considering the advances in machining and cad cam programs.
So this is my hot trick, proline truck conversion with vintage mip trans with hot trick trans brace a mcallister dakota t truck body and trinity monster motor. WOW WHAT A MOUTH FULL!!! lol! IMG_7159.jpg IMG_7160.jpg IMG_7161.jpg

This thread reminds me of the Fox my younger brother had. After suffering his second Tamiya chassis failure I talked him into ordering the basic Hot Trick Fox kit. I think I had some of their parts on my frog at that point. The HT chassis proved...
Just picked this little beauty up at a local garage sale this morning. The guy who sold it to me said that it used to belong to his son and that it had not been used in many many years. You can see it still has bits of mud stuck to it from it's last...

That looks sweeet! highwayracer.
I need to get on the ball regarding my RC10 Hot Trick build. It will probably get started in the fall or winter as I am very busy now.
Back in the days I had one Hot Trick car. My Tamiya Fox got a full Hot Trick conversion, resulting in a dramatic change of appearance, a debatable upgrade in driving characteristics - and confusion of threads in my screw box. Today I have several...

Preliminary assembly to find the right shock set up. The relevant tracks require a ride height at +/- 20 mm. Ending up using 0.71 up front and 1.32 at the rear end.
Oh man, this brings back memories. Had their thin fiberglass chassis and trailing arms on my RC10 way back when before coming to my senses and getting a Composite Craft graphite chassis and A&L trailing arms.
I picked up a new-built Champ Car sometime back that had Hot Laps TR-8 tires on the rear. I always assumed they were just installed by the builder and were not in the kit. But now, I’ve come across another example and that made me wonder. Were these...

I have one ( six gear ) as well with the same tires
Both of the ones I'm referring to are early 6-gear cars also. Hmmm.
