Hey guys, Did some work on the nylon and the results are pretty dang good. I have a final step I am going to take tomorrow and everything should be ready to go.

Question for the masses, what size shocks go on these cars? Are they the same as a standard Team Car? I did read that the rear shocks have a 1.32 body but have 1.02 shafts. Is there anything else I need to know on this car as I start acquiring the parts to get it finished.

Small teaser shot.

I am done with all the white bits. As you can see I made really good progress on the parts. Most of the parts came out really nice. There are a couple of spots that still have a bit of pinkish tint to them. I am calling it good enough.

Hopefully I can start the build soon. I need to find some aluminum 8-32 phillips screws that are not blue. Any ideas on where to get these. I have my local Fastenal trying to locate some but I don't have any faith in them.

Enjoy the pic.

Ahhh, don't give up! The slowest progress is at the end

You can get the stock yellow alum AE 8/32 still through tower, and your stock aluminum hardware for the tranny case, front wheels and collars can be cleaned easily for re-use

Thanks guys.

CDS, You are going to kill me. This took close to about 4 hours to do. The wife was complaining the entire time as well. She kept asking WTH are you doing.

Thanks for the heads up on the yellow aluminum screws. Heading there now...

I hope to have some pics of the car going together soon. Of course it will have to wait until I get that pink out.

Back at it CDS.

I don't think it matters. I get the same reaction if the house smells or not.

Wow! Progress so far looks great! - this car is going to look almost new when its done 8) Very jealous of your crisp white parts (& your scratch free chassis plate) .... all the white parts on my car have been dyed black - I presume once they get that far - there's no going back?

Some of them came with all black parts but yes, if they were dyed black they will never be white again! Thats why I get so mad when I see people die perfectly good white parts black! Especially with the new whitening process many of us have been trying with great success. You can still find some of the parts new in black so why go ruin something that is becomming shemewhat rare!
