Re: My 2012 Vonat Builds lol
OK, Here is the shelf build mocked up, The shocks are temp for now, Im going to change them out for threaded shocks as soon as i source some (should i say get some money to get them lol), I still have a lot of work to do but its getting there.
The front nose tubes are notched out so i can add a A&L chassis stiffener. All the green tubes are axial links machined by Jake
Let me know what ya think

Six to Midnight!
Man it's amazing how modern yet retro those trimmed tubs look.
Great work as usual!

Re: My 2012 Vonat Builds lol
Really-really nice - I love the green parts, there's just the right amount of them to complement the black chassis & plastic parts, very classy!
As already mentioned, its amazing how modern looking these old tub cars can look... especially as machined aluminium chassis seem to be making a comeback in some cars (Losi 22, new Durango 210 etc)
Another observation with these new-old RC10s is that there seems to be a formula of using the wider arms with the truck front end & rear shock tower & utilising longer shocks which is where Masami seemed to be heading with his Detroit winning RC10 (longer wishbones/greater suspension travel), yet the AE team reverted back to running almost stock cars until the release of the B2.... Is there any evidence that any team drivers ran converted RC10Ts as buggies during the early 90s??

The little green washers are running me into the broke house lol, they add up quick and i cant find a source with the same green color.

Wow, William, you've been quite busy! I have a similar build in mind but you and I are on the same wavelength on some of this so i'll really need to think of some new details to make mine unique! I too will have to lean on Jake for some help on machining to match my vision.
