ALL my RC's are runners/bashers/beaters...no shelf queens here! Love to look at em but dont want one, I like to enjoy them in action. I have couple scale crawlers but heres the 2 buggies I play with.
BroncoBuggy is my main beater. I LOVE this rig and with the new 17.5 brushless setup Im in heaven with this thing.
I have another short arm RC10 that I cant find the pics for but I got it on here a while back. Its gonna get the same 17.5 treatment and then run till it wont anymore, rebuilt and ran some more. Love this thread!!!
One of my favorite beaters:
RC10B3 built to the "standard setup" as described in the B3 Tuning Guide
(except for the addition of the front antiroll bar).
Pro-Line Dirt Hawg tires on Duratrax rims (which are kinda brittle).
V1 shocks with bleeder caps.
stock 2.4:1 Stealth transmission with 81/26 gearing.
Associated SC450-BL speed control with Hobbywing EZ-Run 13T motor.
Airtronics 94360 servo.
Airtronics 2.4 GHz Rx/Tx.
Great example. The B3 makes a great everyday runner IMHO. Fast, reliable and for a while they were a dime a dozen on ebay. I don't really get on ebay much anymore (especially after midnight on a Friday or Saturday ) so I don't know how easily accessible they are, but they're a lot of fun.

My current vintage basher, a retro equipped LXT with Tekin 420 g2, a Trinity D3 mod motor of unknown turns, Futaba s9402 servo... and first gen Losi mini lst selectable channel radio set lol. I plan to replace the motor with something more suited to the LST seeing as I think the D3 is from a touring car and I have some 3000mah nimhs coming from HobbyKing.
I am probably going to do up a vintage Losi buggy as a basher as well... just not decided which one yet
