The front body mount in that conversion kit is for a standard buggy shock tower and shocks.
Yes sir...That is what I asked ya when I sent you the message Mr No reply :P :) The services I need are his pin drill/press machine :) Here is a picture Gomach of the front body mount up with the shock tower...You can see what needs to be done in order for me to be able to use it :) I will get it to ya before the end of the week...

i don't know what message you're talking about. if you sent me a pm i never got it.

my point is that the truck tower that is on your car is 5/8" taller than a buggy tower. the kit was designed for a stock buggy. i don't know if you can lose that 5/8" with lowering the body posts or not. probably can, i guess..........

Here is a pick of the post...Front and rear view...They look like they have a lot of adjustability built in to them...The body posts from tip to tip are just a hair under 3 1/2 inches...If you truly think it will not work please tell me before the chopping starts...I originally bought this conversion kit for the rerelease...But then I thought this could be made to work....( as the doubts now start creeping into my head :? ) Measure once cut twice is my motto

Could chop the truck shock tower down and drill new holes for .71 or .89 shocks.

That should space out the top shock mount holes wide enough that you don't have to mod the Proline body mount.

Those posts are designed to be cut at whatever height you want. They're universal. It really just depends on how high you want the body to sit. You could cut the post as low as possible and the body still be too high because the front tower is too tall.

But in the end, almost anything can be "made" to work....

Here's my .02. Remember it's just my opinion

The worlds setup came waaaaaay later than the body mount. It belongs on an early car- before that front end was even thought of. It would be a perfect conversion for the re re. The worlds car would have never worn those parts.

I like my build to be something where if I took a pic, you would be hard pressed to know if it was a new build or built back in the day. Mixing a very early era part with a very late model car just doesn't make sense to ME. Now, it doesn't have to appeal to me- it's your build! But that's where I am coming from

Ill router anything ya need, just offering an opinion 8)

My Worlds tower is 3 and 1/16 inch from tip to bottom...This tower is exactly 2 1/2 inches exactly...I measured the Worlds tower the same way...So in theory 5/8ths would need to be taken off of the body posts...

Just get that router up and running because you will be getting the mount soon :) ...That is the reason why I want to build this...It will be different...Now if Hot Rodders thought like that where would custom car building be today...Sometime you just gotta think outside the box :)

Yeah but those hot rodders also destroy perfectly good Fords by putting Chevy mills in em too

Nothing wrong with what your doing, I'm "in" and it's a 5 second job to route those holes out.

I have to agree with all the Chevy motors in everything...They are reliable and easy to get parts for...If I had a Ford hot rod it would get a GT40 crate engine...302 rated at 350 hp would move you along really nice...

If you used an RPM "worlds" front tower, you probably wouldnt need to route the holes. The shocks mount out wider than a truck tower.

Here is a cut front truck tower (G10) and RPM style tower (CF)
