Ran a couple packs through the car last night, MUCH BETTER on the steering with the 30 degree blocks! It has much more steerng now on throttle. Still pushes a little, but its very drivable now. Only part I managed to break last night was a front arm mount, and I had a spare. Oh, bent a B2 universal somehow too. Not sure how I did that

My main problem with the car now is on the big double on the track. Seems like the car wants to fly with either the ass or the nose facing way down, it's very hard to get it to fly level. We added a little weight to the nose, and I think that helped a little, initially it was always ass way down. Added a bit more drag brake too which also helped getting the car more level. Even so, the car wants to go to one extreem or the other in the air.

at the outdrive?

if so, try adding an external limiter on the shock shafts so it doesn't compress to the point of binding the bone at the outdrive.

No, it's bent about 2/3 of the way out, toward the wheel. It's a gentile enough bend that I just continued to drive with it. There doesn't seem to be any binding at full droop or full compression, it's pretty baffeling how it could have happened

hard launches off jumps will allow the arms to droop far enough to bind the bone/u joint and cause the bend. check your internal shock limiters.

Im sure the arm just flexed more then the universal could and it bent. Happens all the time on the new cars.

I set up really poorly for the big double along the driver's stand and managed to place the car neatly between the stairs and a brick wall
It's amazing that the only thing that broke was the front tower. Good excuse to upgrade to 3mm CF
Joey talked me into running a shortie pack, so I'll be picking one of those up too, try to shift the CG forward a little to get more front traction and get it to fly more level.

Had a good night last night at the track with the gold pan. And by that I mean I didn't break anything

On the advice of Joey, I upgraded to the 3mm version, which seems waaaay beefier

The car is still pushing real bad on corner exits under power, corner entry is pretty decent. Also under the advice of Joey (hey, the guy's FAST, I'd be a fool not to take his advice ) I've ordered a shortie lipo pack to try and shift the CG forward, which he thinks will largely solve my handling woes. Should be night and day according to him. Can't wait to try it out.

I didnt think you would be there last night, I would have stopped by. Glad to see that thick tower on the car, should beef it up some. I do plan on dropping by this week, may try the monday night racing. I need to tear down and clean up my cars after the Glen Helen track, old school roost leaves old school dirt everywhere

I'll bring shorty lipos, just make sure you like it before you buy one.

:edit: Thanks for the fast guy comment, I do okay, but put me side by side with the new cars to see my weakness.

I already ordered the shorty pack, should have it by Monday or so.
I also just bought a set of 25 degree castor blocks, so I'll give those a try too. I'm determined to make this car handle. My driving is starting to get pretty decent now so I've got that going for me too.

Ive been running with long wheel base, could that be hurting corner exit steering?

This should reduce the overall weight a bit and move the CG forward. We'll see bow it handles next week. I'll probably try just that change first then try the 25 degree blocks later.

The car's handling better with every little change. The shortie pack made the car feel more balanced. Joey drove it a bit and suggested lowing the rear suspension to get a more consistent feel and that helped big time. Next time out I'll try the 3 degree rear arm mounts with 0 degree hubs and see what that does. Main problem with the car remains to be on-power steering on corner exit. The car jumps pretty nicely now.

The transformation on your car through the night was noticable. I'm not used to such a beast of a motor, but the rear end change did wonders for corner entry and predictability.

Another testing session will get the car better and better
