Brushed mods like 8 turns are more than enough power. In stock though the 27t brushed seems about the same speed as a 17.5t brushless but towards the end of the race the brushed drops off a bit.

So I finally made a vacuum former and ofcourse the first body I had to test with it was this cars one. The hacked up b3 body i'm using at the moment is falling to pieces. Got a used deja vu tu body and moulded it with plaster then got gyprock wall plaster joining compound stuff and modified it with that.. Mainly just built up the front to sit a bit higher and added a scoop for ESC cooling.
I didn't quite get the surface smooth enough though in some places but it turned out ok apart from that.

Made a one-way front pulley for it, gets quite a bit sideways now, need to make an adjustable one now so I can get some front brakes still.

Did this vid the other week, got an onboard camera :D

I was just wondering last week what happened to this built. Glad to see you're still running it and even improving it further.

The sound in the video is horrifying  and then you hit that giant , scary! I loved the section where you see the other cars in front of you

Yeah been racing it a bit, was going to enter it into the interclub series race at Ryde last weekend but bent a rear axle in practice so I had to switch to the B44. I still did ok with the inferior B44

Hows the 4WD ultima going?

It's in the freezer since I've picked up a great couple of 4wd buggies that 'd be real tough to beat for the ultima.
I'm not sure if it will ever get out again to be honest.

Cmon Mr Ed you've gotta have another go, didn't look like there was too much left to do on it.

Thanks Jason, i'll have to give you a go of it next time we're both at the track!

This is the camera Daddeo http://cgi.ebay.com/32GB-640-480Avi-30FPS-Gum-Hidden-Camera-Micro-Camcorder_W0QQitemZ270425315221QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Gadgets?hash=item3ef69ad795&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1205|293%3A1|294%3A50

Mounted it to the car by sandwiching it between 2 pieces of Kydex and bolted to the rear shock tower. Put a piece of lexan over the lense and put some tape over the SD card slot so not much dirt can get in.

I'm going to make a video of it at St Ives this weekend. Also made a mount for the RC10 so i'll try that too.

Painted the new body, pretty happy with it, paint seems to make most of the small imperfections go away :D

Looking great Tank - whats with the black body - I thought you were a white man!! It was flying when I saw it running - shame the axle bent.

Speaking of axles - I found the ones you did for me - will bring them with me next time - along with a couple of your favourite rubber "doughnuts" ;) ;)

Keep up the good work mate - kicking it old school.

Cheers

Darryn

Nah that white body was my first and only, came with my other B3, just used it because it was so badly damaged it didn't matter if i chopped it up even more. I only use white on moo paint jobs! I was too lazy to goto that much effort this time, can always make another one :D Good to see you found the axles!
