I have a new TCP I am getting ready to build. The car I have is missing the slipper assembly, so my question is this:
1. Would you run the stock slipper (still available new) to maintain the box stock form?
2. Will the Losi Hydradrive fit under the Traxxas gear cover?
3. Would you bolt in a Hydradrive if you had the option?
I got the Hydradrive conversion shaft from Aaron, and am still up in the air about using it compared to the stock slipper. It was a viable mod to these cars BITD, so it wouldn't be out of place on the car. But I'm afraid it would have to be exposed due to the possibility of it not fitting under the stock gear cover. (I really don't like exposed gears )
Also, what would be an appropriate period correct motor to bolt up to the TCP?
Thanks fellas.

Re: TRX-3/TCP question
Do you plan on running it? If not, why would it matter what the slipper is? If not, I would just install the stock piece.
Or are going to be surprised at the Vintage Nationals?

Re: TRX-3/TCP question
I have everything I need as far as the hydra goes. I would need to make a few purchases to get the slipper parts tho...
And being this is NIB, I doubt you will see it in the dirt at the vonats....
I will bring some other cool stuff though!

Re: TRX-3/TCP question
As long as you're running a stock motor the stock slipper works ok. Anything faster and I had a hard time keeping the stock slipper working right. A hydradrive won't fit under the stock gear cover, but just the Losi slipper will, the shaft will stick out of the adjustment hole though.
