I think you can only use the original Stealth in the original style chassis. You may have to drill 4 holes in the chassis if they're not there already. I don't think B2, B3 or B4 Stealths can be fitted into the original style chassis.
VTB,As Mel said the mounting holes need to be drilled to mount a stealth trans.maybe one of the others here has the template/ fixture Associated packaged along with the Stealth trans. You could make a template out of lexan. If you have a car that came with a stealth, just cut your lexan, lay it on the stealth chassis, copy the holes and drill your chassis, plug and play!!
I got a decent B stamped RC10 off Ebay and am going to use it as my new runner. I was thinking about modifying it with the modern Stealth slipper, but the originals work fine. What is a good material to replace the felt dust seal with (discontinued...

I've found closed cell foam packing can do the trick for making your own gaskets. Just keep your eyes open in the boxes you purchase, usually I'll find electronics packed with nice foam sheets. My track is sandy so any opening to the gears results...
Does anyone know for fact if this is gonna happen?? Will it be molded in white or black? Thanks for any info.

Yes, but as I showed in my video the idler is most of the problem
FYI, there is a guy that is making a replacement Idled gear for the new China stealth transmissions. The gears are aluminum and worked great in the tranny. It's a lot...
Can you still buy all the parts new to put tougether a stealth transmission? Anyone have a list of what's still available. Any part #'s would be a help.

I have a King Cab coming in the mail and would like to put a Stealth trans in it. The question I have is which one? I read in this thread that the T2 and the T4 both have 2.60 ratios. What about the T3? Same as the T2, T4? Are they all physically...

If I remember correctly, from what I read, let's make sure we give credit where credit is due with Losi, whom with the release of the JRX2 trans, forced Associated to develop the Stealth (at least that was what I read). When you think of it that...
I am looking for a transmission for my project. The chassis is fitted for a stealth, but there are not many around at the time. I have seen a couple of MIP trannys around. What is the difference performance wise? And I think I know the answer to...

MIP trans came out during the time when AE was still making that old 6 gear trans for the original RC10, which mean before 84. The stealth came to the market at about the rc10 team car time, as far as I remember, which was about early 90s, probably...
I've got a 7001 RC10T with the Stealth Trans. I've been running a 5700Kv Castle, which in hind sight is way overkill. It seems to slip pretty hard out of corners and over jumps now that I'm trying to race at my local track even though I've turned...

I second the upgrade to the v2 slipper. I've bought parts to upgrade most of my older stealths. Sometimes if you do get some slipping, you can rough up the slipper disc(s) with some fine grit sand paper. Also wouldn't hurt to rebuild the diff.
