New boy saying Hi!

Post by DerbyDan »

Hi guys just thought i'd introduce myself

I'm Dan & live near Northampton here in the UK (the home of Schumacher R/C) I'm now early 30s (like most on here I guess) & have been racing either 2wd off road buggies or more recently 1/10 touring cars since the late 80s.

I've only recently got into the vintage stuff & found this site through TamiyaClub. I must admit i'm still bemused that something that I raced in my recent past is already deemed 'vintage' lol! I currently own a Losi XX thats NIB & is awaiting some choice upgrade parts before I build it, a Losi Triple X, An old Mardave Cobra (with a Losi gearbox) and a Cougar2 Works that has travelled all the way home from the otherside of the world courtesy of Bormac  - My RC10 fettish has started with the recent purchase of a rather sorry looking RC10 Worlds that i've brought off ebay for £24. I am also looking forward to the arrival of an original gold pan car that is currently wending its way over from the States

Anyway heres a picture of the Worlds car - as you can see its missing a few pbits - i'm hoping that with the help of the expertise on here & maybe a nod in the direction of where I can find the parts I need I can get it up & running again :) Which is where I like my cars to be - out on the track
