RC10 Graphite
RC10 Graphite
Hey I'm new to the forum and thought I would post some pics of my RC10 graphite build. I got this car around 1990 and converted it to race dirt oval for a couple of years before replacing it with a Custom Works Intimidator. I recently got it out of storage and put it back together to race at a new 1/10th offroad track. I haven't raced in many years and this will be my first attempt at offroad racing so if you have any tips that would be great, wish me luck!

Re: RC10 Graphite
that is a nice rig...going to run it or shelf it??????? I got one that is similar but it's on a shelf, only because it was originally mine from back in the day.
Re: RC10 Graphite
I plan to run it at a new track that was just finished. Never raced off-road before so if I enjoy it I'll probably buy a newer buggy later on.
Re: RC10 Graphite
I have a small front bumper I plan to put on. Do you have any suggestions on springs and shock oil? I'm just looking for a good starting point.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Re: RC10 Graphite
where do you live? Its nice to hear of NEW tracks being made
Hopfully it is the start of a new trend!

Re: RC10 Graphite
I don't have any pics. I try to remember to take my camera next time.
I'm just south of Jackson MS.

Re: RC10 Graphite
I know with the newer buggies and truck the general rule of thumb for shock oil is 35w front and 30w rear. Try 2 hole pistons front 1 hole rear. Get medium springs for the shock and set the ride height with the dog bones level. That should be a good starting point then after you get a good feel for it play around with the settings. Just remember to try different tires before doing anything else, they are the single biggest factor in tuning the suspension.
