LXT vintage nationals bug
Getting this truck ready for the vintage nationals came right down to the wire. I didn't get a chance to shoot any pictures of it until race day, so here they are. I wanted to race this last year, but didn't finish it in time. It almost didn't get finished in time this year either, but somehow it did.
This truck is Losi LXT with a JrxT chassis and a XX retrofit transmission. I guess kind of a total Losi hybrid. It has Tecnacraft turnbuckles, AE narrow truck front wheels and tires, a milled motor plate (not sure who made that or if it's just a Losi part someone modified) and a Trinity heat sink. Other than that I think it's pretty much straight out of the box LXT parts. I used a Reedy StockStar 27T motor, a Futaba MC330R ESC and a Futaba steering servo. The body is a Parma.
I was very happy with the truck. It definitely was not dialed for the track, but it performed good enough for me on it's very first outing. Now I've got a year to try to fine tune it and make adjustments so I can hopefully get around the track a little faster in 2010.
I wanted to get an after shot too, but forgot. It's a little dirty right now and a few parts had to be replaced from being broken during practice. Fortunately nothing broke when it was time to race.

Re: LXT vintage nationals bug
First time I appreciate the narrow tires on something actually carrying a full car body

Scott, I got some decent action shots of your truck this weekend, I'll post them when I get everything on my computer. It was good to put a face with a name, and you wheeled that bug pretty well.
Mark
Aaaaahhhh crap! I'm about to get passed by that orange truck!

Re: LXT vintage nationals bug
Thanks guys. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Considering I really had no time to dial it in, I thought it performed surprisingly well.
Mark, it was good to meet you too, it was definitely a very fun weekend.
Rick, thanks for the dogbones and helping me make sure this truck finally made it to the races.

I pulled these action shots off of badhoopty's imageshack page. Thanks for taking them Jason.
