I finally got around to joining the short course craze. Picked up an SC-10 Kit and a whole bunch of rpm parts. Also added lunsford turnbuckles. The CVD's I've had for years. they started out as a set of shiny bones that were supposed to be for the GT but were mispackaged. I put them on a set of spare axles I had in my toolbox and they fit perfect.
The body will probably be fluorescent yellow/blue in an RPM/AE livery.
Can you have too much blue on one build?
forgot to add a pic of the RPM chassis brace/skid plate. I used a set of the blue aluminum servo mounts as it seems like it would be better for mounting the skid plate than the stock plastic ones, besides more blue is always better.
great lookin truck anthony...you can't have too much blue
forgive the dumb question though about the rpm front arms...do you have to use the screwpins? Could you possibly use longer pins with c-clips and a cross brace? I have never liked screwpins....

the RPM arms do not use screw pins. They are the standard AE captured pins with short/fat screws inline at the end of the hole to keep them in place. The stock arms use tiny screws offset from the hinge pin, relying on the head of the screw to overlap with the pin to retain it.
OOOhhhhhhh...gotcha. Only seen the screw heads and just assumed from there. Yep, I know how to spell ass u me Thanx for the info...now about that $26 blue carbonfiber battery strap Is the thing carbon fiber veneered gold I had a hard time paying $12 for my b4 cf battery strap...

$26 seems a bit much for such a simple part. It looks nice in blue but seems functionally to be a downgrade. It looks like the rear just wedges under the shock tower, and the front is secured the same as stock. The stock battery holder is adjustable for height front and rear by changing the screw length, and is very secure with 4 mount points.
The strap is for a 2 cell standard lipo or standard flat pack 6 or 7cell. It saves on weight and looks cool. It is a bit much in price. More for the racer or if you just want bling!
I blew the dust off of one on my projects (actually, they don't really collect much dust, I open them up to review them and what parts I need to get the kit to 100%, or change things around)
I have about 15 different 'kits' of buggies on my to do...
I just finished buttoning up the chassis. Body will be coming soon.
I guess I could say I was inspired by scr8p/jconcepts EGT build. I was never a huge fan of colorful builds. But I thought the white parts against the blue chassis actually looked...

What happened to the thermometer anyway? I liked it. It let us know whether or not we had to step up. I mean you should anyway if you like and use the site, but I think it was a good reminder to members. Bill clearly stated that he didn't get the...
i started messing around with another build. mainly just mocking some things up. when it's all said and done, it'll be as blue as i can make it. i wanted a blue annodized motor plate, but i wanted to retain the 2.25 stealth. so, a little bit of...
