Ultima id required please
Hi guys I have this Kyosho Ultima that I want help indentifying...as far as I know it's about 1993-1994 vintage. I was thinking that it might have been some sort of team car going by the Team Kyosho New Zealand decal on the rear wing. I really like the body..very cool...So guys what is it?

They're probably a little rare as they didn't sell well. They didn't handle that great compared to the competition at that time. They were much like the Triumph, here then gone in a flash.

Your front wheels are on backwards. Probably cause the lexan discs are missing.
It looks like a team version cause of the shocks, but the turnbuckles aren't the typical "team" type. They originally came silver with a tecnacraft style hole in the center for adjustment.
Still a very nice car!
The Kyosho's 2wd's seemed to suffer the same fate, as Rich described. Throw the Ultima RB on that list too. Kyosho did not make it to the mainstream in the US in that era. Parts were hard to get and setup help for the US tracks was close to non existent. Most were too focused on AE/Losi to spend the time with anything else.

Nice car Pete! I'll give you $35 US for it, that's what I paid for mine.
I have a thread on here of I did a rebuild of mine. Here's the only picture I have at work. (Look familiar?) It currently has a Losi XX body since at the time there were no repops available.
The transmssions on these cars reprotedly melted themselves into oblivion fairly regularly as well.
