esc motor size

hi i would like to know what you guys thing, can a standard brushed esc like the novak cyclone, or even a sport esc handle a 550 size motor such as traxxas 12t . doing a budget for now thunder tiger eb4 s2 electric converion. thanks

the traxxas 12T can be handled by pretty much everything but the cheapest speedos on the market.
The Cyclone is novak's top of the line from 10yrs ago, it will handle pretty much any 540/550 you'll throw at it, even the hottest mods. utterly bombproof, probably the finest speedo in history, period.
now... the eb4S2 is 8th scale. Afaik, no brushed motor will work properly in a 7lbs car.

I'm giving a shot with one of 550s I got a lot of parts of the bay for 40 bucks
I built I gas car out of it and have the parts for another and the
aluminum i need at work so it's somthing for fun project
if it works ok I'll try brushless thanks for the advice
