New tires for ds conversion
I'm converting an old buggy to a dual sport style on road car and need some new wheels and tires. I'm looking for something other that plain dish wheels. I want to fit them under a 200mm body. Does anyone know of any new tires and wheels or how to make some modern wheels and tires fit?

Re: New tires for ds conversion
look on associated's website, they have some info in the resources section for running different wheels and tires on the DS in the rc10ds section.

the short answer is to adapt the front to something that uses a hex mount, so some combination of traxxas/losi/kyosho/hpi will get you there. I beleive the simplest is to just use the whole traxxas c hub/axle assembly and see how it fits.
rear is just an adapter from HPI slightly modified.
if you get this accomplished, take some pics of the conversion!

Is that just a Traxxas front block and axle? Is there anything else to it?

Re: New tires for ds conversion
they look like rpm? It should just be the c-hubs/pins, spindles, bearings and axles stubs, plus the hex and pin. I dunno how wide the traxxas c-hub is, but it's probably wider than the associated parts, so you'd need to either trim the c-hub, the arm, or a little of both.

Bear, RPM but the same as assc. I should have already cut the parts I sent ya,If not they will need to be narrowed like Joe said
Mikey,as Joe said you will need to narrow the block carrier,I also drilled the carrier out to use RC10 hinge pin. Hope this Helps

Will HPI touring car wheel clear the Traxxas front steering blocks and spindles?
