yokomo yz series motor mount, which one is the best?

Post by crusaderlyf »

I knew yokomo including Magnesium motor mount on yz series cars, but easy Magnesium motor mount easy get oxidation looks old.that yokomo ever made the aluminum motor plate, look very shiny and beautiful.but it has very expensive.I don't how many it have been made but I think not alot. team suzuki has made the blue aluminum one.the price more reasonable than the yokomo's. because they are very rare,so I reluctant to use both of them. I only use the suzuki one on my yz-10.who has been use these two set of motor mount? which one is best?

Both the Team Yokomo and Team Suzuki motor mounts are beautiful items... Especially the Team Yokomo motor mount.

I have found that the Team Yokomo version is a little fragile (the aluminium material seems softer compared to the Team Suzuki version) so for racing or general usage, I would recommend the Team Suzuki mount but if it is for a shelf queen, I would go for the Team Yokomo motor mount.

I think the anodizing on the team suzuki mount makes it a little stronger, and it is blue...which I think makes it look cooler than the yokomo mount...I have two of the Mag mounts (one of which I got from crusaderlyf), I am using a blue integy mount on my yz10

I have a NIP Team Suzuki...If you have other suzuki parts I say use that one to keep the blue theme going...All I need is the blue C-hubs to have a complete set of suzuki parts....Like Dual said..Use the magesium for a shelfer

The adapters look identical to TEAM SUZUKI items-just anodised green instead of blue.

I think the green ones are a different brand: I saw them not long ago on ebay or the BST section here. Some US brand if I remember well. mightbe UK too.
The reason I doubt it's KOSE : as far as I know their colour anodized parts were all gold-champagne
