Post by rctenracer »

Tried custic soda on a beat up nose piece for a test run. Fell asleep watching the tigers game and eight hours later I have what use to be a nose piece . At least the tigers won. Maybee I need to use something less potent.

EASY OFF OVEN CLEANER YELLOW TOP AND CAN!!!!! Remove all servo tape and stickers and sticky residue then spray on even heavy coat let sit 5 minutes then wipe off with paper towels.Check it and reapply where need to ,to get the thicker areas stripped off. Then wash with soap and water and use scotch brite pad or quadriple o brillo pads to take care any black looking residue that happens when left on to long.DON

Stripped 2 nose plates and motor plates today using the greased lightning. Worked great. Tomorrow I'm going to do the chassis themselves.

I found out the hard way that the Castrol Super Clean will take anodizing off. It does work quite well for that purpose.
