what are you guys using to make wing wires ?

what size wire do i need?

what about for schumacher plated wire? what do you all use for that type?

The wire we always used and some of my LHS's still carry is Piano wire.

yeah, there should be a selection of music wire at your LHS, typically used for airplane control links or whatever else. they have a bunch of sizes, and .078"does sound about right......find something close and cut and bend....just be careful, too tight a radius and it will snap.

piano wire from hobby shop...they have all sorts of sizes
u should find what u need

trying to find some too and found this on another site

4-40 x 1/4 nylon hardware made for the 1/10 scale bodies. used to mount Driver interiors, EDM bodies, Rear Spoilers, Roofs Side board wings. Best to use a number #32 wire size drill bit the drill diameter is .116 the drilled hole has a minimal fit.

i use K&S 1/16 music wire. lighter and a lot easier to work with. you could put a kink into it so the wing tubes could hold onto the wing and you don't lose it during a race.

I use stainless steel TIG filler rod from your local welding supply shop
Sleeps with a night light on, not because he's scared of the dark but because the dark is scared of him...........stay thirsty my friends
