Hyperdrive belt dryness
So my hyperdrive stuff came today there are enough parts to outfit my rc10 mid lethal weapon trans plus my other to mid cars with spares, but they feel a little dry.
So is it correct that a good soaking in wd40 will bring them back to runner condition ?
And while I'm on the subject of belt drive trans am I also correct in thinking if I fit a hyperdrive belt to a belt drive trans being in the correct rear position ie motor at the back, I will have to run the motor in reverse get a motor designed to run in reverse?

Re: Hyperdrive belt dryness
Be careful, if they are too dry the teeth can come off. I would spray them first and wipe them off. Check them for small cracks. Then just spray them again and let them sit without wiping them on a paper towel. they should be fine then, do not soak them in wd-40 unless you have one that you can try it out on first to ensure the rubber does not start separating. That is how I got mine to free up some on my Lynx Belt conversion. I know that four Touring Cars and Offroad 4wd buggies they used to treat the belts to free up the drive train.

you will have to use a reverse rotation motor if all you add is the hyperdrive belt kit. If you can use a flat motor plate(like a litesink), and you can swap the input shaft of the trans, you can flip the whole assembly over and run it on the other side and use a standard motor.

Re: Hyperdrive belt dryness
If you are running it in a mid engine rc-10, you will not need to make any changes to the transmission.
