How rare are Hyperdrive belt systems

When it's R/C related, but doesn't fit anyplace else.

How rare are Hyperdrive belt systems

I did a search on here and not much comes up...so i figured they might be rare..what's the scoop guys?

I have some but i don't know how popular they were. in the stock transmission configuration, you needed to run the motor in reverse. now if you mid engined the tranny you would be fine.

I ran a hyperdrive in my mid engine RC-10(six gear). It was good for the roller rink, never ran the hyperdrive system offroad.

I think it is an interesting technical issue, but not so comfortable for use. Not as safe as a classic gear.
Every part is specific: gears, pinions, belt.
Due to this, it was not fluent at all to cross this kind of trans.

But it is so particular that I believe that the poeple that got it keeps it carefully.
local club president, but also family team manager - mecanic - official sponsor, and some times cruising my RC cars......YES!!!!!!!!!!

My mind must be in the gutter but if she has teeth down there (in my mind remember) I'd be extra careful when you use your 'tongue depressor'!
