old RC10 Dirt Oval part I.D. (looks for doug or reg)

Post by PBR Allstar »

okay, recently picked up this aluminum rear bulkhead that is obviously for an RC10 based D.O. car, most likely a terminator based car maybe? very nice machine work! shock mounts are built in (3 holes across top on either side) and it was designed for short shocks (.56/TC bodies with .35 shafts) Just kinda curious if anyone knows who made this part? I had an original R&D rear bulkhead and rear arm mounts that was crude in comparison to this part.

Looks similar to a Wolfe rear that I have, just a touch different though- might be a Kranzels part as well.

The Wolfe I have has the shock mounts, but it is for a 2.25, not a 2.40 ( as that appears )

Yeah, unusual piece. Nice machining, though. There are so many Kranzels copies out there today, it's getting more and more difficult to tell them apart anymore. Might want to throw that one out to the guys at DirtOval.com to see if anyone recognizes it. I'm stumped.

yeah, it's a first gen piece 8/32 holes with RC10 spacing, and the height is 2.25 stealth.

I'm sticking with Wolfe, I'll try to find the pics of mine, but yours has more shock mounting options than mine, otherwise they are nearly identical

yeah, I got it off DODC for 5 bones to my door, thought I couldn't go wrong. I could tell by the pic it wasn't an R&D or an early kranzels, but upon getting it the machining is really Really nice. I'm not familiar with Wollfe stuff, but I'll take your word for it reg!
