Custom RC 10 mid engine.

OK Guys I have done a convertion that has not been done much. Thanks to another buddy of mind Together we did a pair of RC custom mid engine gold pan buggies. I set mind up as a truck but use gold pan chassic. USE truck tires in the rear. With buggie wheels up front Also use old school tranny. I have wanted a mid engine for many years but could never figure out how to do it.. Now I have one.

OK NOW I need your advice how do I send pictures. I have for got as you can see I use an old GT gas 10 chassic. I will share more pictures if some one can tell me how to do it. I use to send 3 to 5 per post but it has been a wile so as allways I know one of you will come back with an ansswer you all ways do . DON Still your Portland Rusbucket.

Bit odd with the 2 different sizes of wheels. Maybe get a pair of slim front truck wheels from... I think it was Jconcepts?

Hello Ed. ON that one I have just built. It is one that was built from parts and a chassic that was given to me a few weeks ago. I do have plans of building another one but this time useing a Reg Gold pan. Chassisc . OR even my fiber carbon one I have.. Even thought about doing one as an RC 10 T truck. I have both in carbon.
BUT in the mean time I am going to just run this one and see what it acts like. I do have a set of factory Oringial RC 10 T stock slim tires and wheels that your talking about. That are still like new. Never had a reason to use them but now since you made that sudjustion I may use them on the next one. Thanks Don

BY the way is there any one that has pictures of stock Mid engine that I can look over and see how one was built from the factory or close to one. IT will help me later when I try to do a stock one. Thank you..

HEY THERE ALL.
ok i HAVE RAN into a new set of problems. that i was not aware of. OK I knew I was going to have to change the wireing on the motor. TO get it to run forward when I pull back on the radio. BUt NO matter what I do. THE motor still runs in reverce. I can run forwaerd but only If the motor is runing in reverce. So with the mid engine was there a set of speical motors that you had to run with this set ?
This all new to me for I this is the first time i Have done this.
I am runing an OLD novac rooster speed control old school Futaba radio. I am getting radio iinterfearces . So now can some one give some advice on what I can do . so everything will run nomal like a reg brush motos do. ONE more thing I now have a heating problem with things getting hot motor speed conotroll . I am runing a normal stock RC 10 spure and pinon. thanks DON

reverse the wires on the motor

you have to flip the topshaft and motor plate to the other side of the trans case.

YUP that is what I did. She will run faster in reverce then forward.\

I have even switch the directiions on the radio no matter what I do Nothing will make a difference, So do you have to do something to the motors? like maybe turning the end bell 180 or so . could use some help on this one. IT is a little different to drive handles a litttle different but fun. Thanks DON In Portland Oregon
