Anybody remember the story why narrow tires on the "Stadium" type trucks didn't catch on? I have my own opinion on this, but I want to hear your's.
I just ran my 10-T with the narrow fronts on it, and it behaved so well. That was what the truck was designed to run. IMHO!

It was actually "unfair" to run narrow front tires on the RC10T, just because it handles so much better than larger ones, they were prohibited in the official races and ASC then released their kit only with conventional front tires... it should have been the opposite IMO, but maybe they thought it was more looking like a buggy...

The RC10T came out with narrow front wheels as there weren't any racing rules at the time. Every other truck and truck conversion was using wide front wheels (and all the available tyres were for wide front wheels) so when they formulated rules for racing the wheel sizes decided on was what everyone was using. This meant the narrow wheels were not legal for racing.
This happened just after Associated released the RC10T, if Associated had been a bit quicker off the mark and released a truck a year earlier everyone might have been using narrow fronts when the rules were created.
