Anodizing?
Anodizing?
Just received my deanozided A stamped chassis from Ebay and I'm wondering if any of you guys know of a place that anodizes either here in Texas or abroad? I would like to stay away from powder coating if possible and have it anodized gold. Thanks in advance.

Re: Anodizing?
I had a bunch of stuff anodized gold by this place in Milwaukee. Contact Scott Briskie at Midwestern Anodizing Corp. See my thread for the pictures of the color.joel45acp wrote:Just received my deanozided A stamped chassis from Ebay and I'm wondering if any of you guys know of a place that anodizes either here in Texas or abroad? Re: Anodizing?
Gents, I just wanted to extend this offer to anyone wishing to anodize some parts by Mid Western Anodizing. Myself and flipwils11 are sending some chassis and other extra spare parts to have them anodized gold. The cost is $63 for the service. However, the more folks we get the less you pay. As it stands now, Flipwils11 and I are splitting the cost so roughly $32 a piece. But, again if we get more gents in on the deal the less we all pay. I'm sending my stuff in on Thursday. Flipwils11 and I will keep you up to date on the progress. I'm sending two chassis, two nose pieces, two motor plates and other nic nacs. Let us know if you are interested. Thanks for your time gents.
In Christ,
Joel C.

Re: Anodizing?
Are you prepping the parts or is Midwest doing all the prep?

Re: Anodizing?
I asked and they said they had a tank to remove anodizing so I'm jazzed about not having to use oven cleaner to de-anno mine.

Re: Anodizing?
$63 is not all that bad for the service. I have been wanting to get a bunch of items done for a while now. Do they do custom color matching?

Re: Anodizing?
nsr250, I'm not sure if they color match. I'll get back to you on that bro. The more folks we get in on this the less we all pay. 10 gents, well that is only about $6 or $7 bucks per man. Darn, you can't beat that with a stick gents.

Re: Anodizing?
Well $63 is the cheapest lot size but I am not sure of the size nd how many parts we can include. But given the size of rc car parts, I think we can probably do a lot at once.
They will color match and last time they did this gold off a gold shock body I sent (which I am again sending this time).
On a side note I may send another set separate from this to do in red.

Re: Anodizing?
Gonna be honest...I am on the fence. Not a cost thing, heck, $63 to have the chassis & parts look almost new is a deal. I paid almost that much for powdercoating.
I am afraid if I get it done I won't want to run the car...that leads down a path I am not ready to take.
