Jrx2 cleanup

Post by nvxwax »

Got this Jrx2 from evilbay (I paid way more then i should have, But i wanted one), The car looks to have never been run but was covered with dirt and dust, the chassis has no extra holes and only a few scratches on the bottom, the servo was glued to the chassis at some point (grrrrr....) After a good cleaning i think it came out pretty good, I plan to strip the body and go with a box art paint job (Maybe this summer).

Forgot to add, I have a new bulkhead on the way, the one on it is cutup lol

It has no notch cut behind the spur gear so an earlier one but since it says JRX2 it is the 2nd style. You have early shock collars but not the early rear shock tower. : You alos have the later trailing links with 4 holes where the rear shocks mount and not two, I think the darker orange five spoke wheels too. All that said over the years parts all get swapped around. So not an early car but not a late one, how's that :lol

We need to get you some black 8-32s and a properly sized, sharp Phillips screwdriver. ;)

I was thinking the screws but since you mention it, I may make my wife a custome pair of trailing link earrings for that special night out. Nothing says I love you like 5 link parts.
