Picking up an RC500 & other unknown 1/8th scale

Post by johnqpublic »

Hey guys:
Tomorrow I'm picking up 'lot' of RC stuff and these 2 cars are part of it, but are not my main motivation for buying. The seller dosen't know much about them but he sent me some pics (but they are not that great). Maybe you guys could help me by taking a look.

I know the one is an RC500 but I can't tell if its a 2wd or 4wd (I'm thinking 2wd). Is the other one an RC250 or 300?...or something else? Can anyone tell what the motors are? Any other info that sticks out?

I'll get some better pics when I pick it up but any info that you could give me from these would be great! Discuss......

Not an expert by any means but might be a CK790SJ but pictures make it hard to be sure. When you get them check this site to identify which Delta car
but I think its a 780 or 790 maybe 800 but most likely 790.

Well, I have the cars. It definately seems to be a Ck790.

The RC500 is indeed a 2wd w/ a 2 speed. Did all RC500s come w the quick release rear hubs?

I'm in the process of doing some clean up now and will post some better pics. As I said these were not even my main reason for buying the lot so I'll probably have them up for sale soon...

Quick release rear hubs was an optional upgrade. The 2 speed trans is also a very nice option. Some better pics of the Delta would be nice.,

 great shoot !!
regarding your delta super j , I think it is a mixed parts version :

you have a late built differential version (ck800), with late spécification front bar (machined for weight saving) .
servo holder look like COOK racing product specs , but not the radio plate . ( a ck800 re shaped perhaps)

chassis is a CK760/780 version in aluminium
servo safer is an associated (not the right one )
