AYK Pro Radiant Project (Updated 03/10/2012)

Post by nvxwax »

Well got this off eBay for 55 bucks (Less the rear wheels and AE shocks on the back)

I just gave it a tare down and rebuild and it was in pretty good condition, The AE shocks are temporary, I have a set of front and rear AYK shocks in route from Hong Kong. The only thing i think i need to source is a new set of front one way wheels, Tires front and back and a body set. unless someone can see something else i'm missing :?:

I'm hoping to get Jake to cut me a Race Prep under-tray out of carbon fiber  , I dont like the radio tray on top, plus its a little cut up.

I have a question on the steering bell-crank, I see some radiants have the horn out the top of the chassis? My car has the horn at the bottom and it sticks out the lower side. whats up with that?

This is a good deal you got there. The proradiant had this bellcranck setup. The servo horn is sticking out of the rectangular hole on the side (servo is attached upside down with double sided tape)...

I pm you as well...

I sourced a set of New Boost tires for 9 bucks :) The boost tire seller also threw in some vintage Race-Prep wire, I also sourced a original Race-Prep Under tray and bumper from a great guy here on the forum. I have also added a set of new original PR Shocks, I have some original tires and another set of wheels in route for this project, The Boost tires are just temp

William, you seem to find stuff all the time. You basically picked up several parts for this car, new shocks, saddle pack tray, etc in a week and half.

It is time to give up the secrets man......... :D

Very nice car, will fit right in with your collection.

Are the front tires narrow or the same width as the rear? Something else I have not been able to find, narrow fronts.

Yes the fronts are narrow but the Boost front tires dont fit the pro radiant wheels to well your best bet would be Bormac for the pro radiant tires I also think he has the boost tires aswell
